- Big Fish Awards Rules
1. Only active members of Lake County Fish & Game Protective Association, Inc. are eligible.
- 2. A photograph of angler & fish is required with application.
- 3. All fish must be taken on rod, reel & line with live or artificial bait.
- 4. All fish must be taken during legal open seasons according to state/local regulations.
- 5. All entry forms must be filled out completely.
- 6. Entries, including photos become the property of Lake County Fish &
Game Protective Association, Inc. & to publish as it sees fit.
- 7. In addition to patches (one time 1 per species), certificates will be
awarded annually to the biggest fish species.
- 8. Certificates will be awarded according to weight. In case of ties, length, then girth will be
used to determine winner.
- 9. If there is no entry for a species over the minimum requirement, no certificate will be
awarded.
- 10. All entries must be submitted to the director by January's membership meeting.
- 11. Rainbow Trout is considered, from any body of water that is not a Great Lake, or its
tributaries, or a sea run fish. Lake Sturgeon is endangered in IN, but Shuvelnose Sturgeon is
not.
- 12' Any Inland fish not listed above can be entered, but would have to meet the smallest
requirement of its category. (ie: Grayling 1 lb, under trout)
All species will count separately.
