| In May of 2010 a friend and I decided to take a canoe trip on the Little Calumet River. Indianapolis Blvd to Georgia St was the goal. I invited anyone to come along. Three people took me up on it. In July I decided to do it again. This time fifteen people came along. In August, Mark Taylor a writer for the Post Tribune wanted to go and write a story about it. This time we started at the state line and we made it all the way to Georgia St. Since then, so many people have wanted to take the trip on the river. They just don't feel safe going by themselves. |
