30th ANNUAL WILD GAME DINNER
    Our 30th Annual Walt Millikan Memorial Wild Game Dinner will be held March 6, 2010 at
the K of C Hall in East Chicago. Chairman, Don Jones promises a great 30th celebration. You
don’t want to miss this one!! And, yes, roast buffalo is on the menu. Tickets, which are $40
each, are available at any meeting. Terry Paris is the ticket chairman. You can reach him at

lakecountyfishandgame.org Also available are letters of introduction for the purpose of
soliciting donations for the dinner. We also have ad forms for those of you wishing to
promote your business in the dinner booklet. Ads range in price from $15 for a business
card size to $100 for a full page.   Both of these forms may also be downloaded from our
website, as well. Click on the game dinner poster on the home page and you’ll find links to
printable versions of the forms.

    As far as donations go, we can always use bottles to tip, any art you may have laying
around you’d like to part with or just about anything else we can use as either a tip board
item, auction item, raffle item or door prize. If you have an unframed print you’d like to
donate please keep in mind we’ll need time to get it framed. We’ll also need donations for
the hors d’oeuvres table. Fix your favorite game dish! It needn’t feed the whole crowd
either, When it’s gone, it’s gone so contact Tom Bukowski at (219) 838-9369 or Jerry Skubisz
at (219) 844-3045 if you have something you’d like to contribute to the hors d’oeuvres table.
    This is our largest fund raising event of the year and what makes our club go. Please help
any way you can. Thank you.

POLAR SHOOT PLANNED
    February 13th is the date set aside for our 5th Annual Polar Shoot. It will be held at Deer
Creek Hunt Club, 18000 Basswood Rd. in Three Oaks, MI.  The cost is $40 per gun up until
February 3rd. After February 3rd it’s $45. The program is a 100 target Sporting Clays shoot
with lunch and prizes after. Start time is 9:00 AM CST. (That’s 10:00 AM Michigan time.) Call

    If you haven’t been to Deer Creek before you’ve missed one of the premier facilities in
the area. It’s located just across the state line off I-94. Exit 4A toward Three Oaks, MI. Their

This is a great shoot! It’s bound to be cold and fun! Sign up by this month’s meeting and
save $5.

SHOW SCHEDULE
     Lake County Fish and Game will have a booth set up at a couple of outdoor sports and
gun shows this month. They are: Porter County Gun Show; Feb. 20 & 21: Steelheaders’
Spring Fever Show; Feb. 27 & 28. Contact Don Jones or Mike Echterling if you’d like to help.
All that’s required is to help man the booth for an hour, or two, to give the guys there a

BOB WESTFALL IS BACK!
    At our January Board meeting President, Don Jones appointed Bob Westfall to fill the
vacant seat on the Board of Directors. Bob was left off the ballot accidentally and the error
was corrected without dissent. Welcome back, Bob!

SUPER BOWL AT THE DAWG HOUSE PUB
    Join us for free food and drink specials. Some members will be bringing their favorite
game dish. We’ll be supplying shredded beef sandwiches with chips, etc.. We’ll also have
some giveaways to enhance the experience. See you There!

    We have been having a problem with people sneaking onto the club property and
    stealing fish.  DNR will now be giving tickets to anyone on the property who is not a
    member and anyone taking fish from the property.  "Without consent" is the charge,
    it is a $153.00 ticket.  LCF&G is now on file with the local CO's, they know how to
    identify a member so be prepared to ID yourself as a member.  If you see someone
    who is keeping fish or see anyone who is not a member please call the DNR tip line.  
    800-TIP-IDNR ( 800-847-4367 )  You don't have to give your name but let them know.  
    They may not be able to come right out but sooner or later they will get them.  
    We paid for those fish and the theft has to stop.
