LAST CHANCE!

keycard updated is this month’s meeting. Remember, you may also renew online at our
website: www.lakecountyfishandgame.org. There is a surcharge of $2 for the convenience
of renewing online. That’s better than $25 for being late, though!!

30th ANNUAL WILD GAME DINNER
Our 30th Annual Walt Millikan Memorial Wild Game Dinner will be held March 6, 2010 at the K
of C Hall in East Chicago. Chairman, Don Jones promises a great 30th celebration. You don’t
want to miss this one!! And, yes, roast buffalo is on the menu. Tickets, which are $40 each,
are available at any meeting. Terry Paris is the ticket chairman. You can reach him at(219)
961-6039. You may also purchase your tickets online at our website: www.
lakecountyfishandgame.org Also available are letters of introduction for the purpose of
soliciting donations for the dinner. We also have ad forms for those of you wishing to
promote your business in the dinner booklet. Ads range in price from $15 for a business
card size to $100 for a full page.

As far as donations go, we can always use bottles to tip, any art you may have laying around
you’d like to part with or just about anything else we can use as either a tip board item,
auction item, raffle item or door prize. If you have an unframed print you’d like to donate
please keep in mind we’ll need time to get it framed. We’ll also need donations for the hors
d’oeuvres table. Fix your favorite game dish! Contact Don Jones if you have something you’
d like to contribute to the hors d’oeuvres table.

GOOSE HUNT @ LCF&G LOTTERY
Again, this just in! The second hunt on Dec. 12 was even better! 14 geese and 6 ducks were
harvested. Good job you guys!! That Steven Kruk kid is a KILLING MACHINE!! :-)

CLUB ELECTIONS FOR 2010
Club elections of officers and board of directors for calendar year 2010 were held at last
month’s meeting, the results of which can be found below. Welcome Tom Cooper, Keith
Kruk, Don Pasternak, Thurman Snow, Daryle Lindell, Jerry Skubisz and Bill Devine. I’m sure
they’ll do a fine job for us in their capacity as a director of our organization. Good luck to all
and THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!

POLAR SHOOT PLANNED
Feb. 13 is the date set aside for our 3rd annual Polar Shoot. $40 per gun for a 100 target
Sporting Clays shoot w/ lunch and prizes after. Call Connie at (219) 365-0951 for more info.

BIG FISH, BIRD AND DEER DEADLINE
This month’s meeting is the deadline for turning in Big Fish, Big Bird and Big Deer contest
forms. They’re available, with rules, on our website www.lakecountyfishandgame.org.

    We have been having a problem with people sneaking onto the club property and
    stealing fish.  DNR will now be giving tickets to anyone on the property who is not a
    member and anyone taking fish from the property.  "Without consent" is the charge,
    it is a $153.00 ticket.  LCF&G is now on file with the local CO's, they know how to
    identify a member so be prepared to ID yourself as a member.  If you see someone
    who is keeping fish or see anyone who is not a member please call the DNR tip line.  
    800-TIP-IDNR ( 800-847-4367 )  You don't have to give your name but let them know.  
    They may not be able to come right out but sooner or later they will get them.  
    We paid for those fish and the theft has to stop.

    Emergency numbers are posted in the window near the front gate.
