   NIGHT FISHING BAN UPHELD
In a close vote, the night fishing prohibition was upheld at last month’s meeting. We
were informed, at that meeting, that some new members had been seen carrying out fish,
from the back lake, in plastic bags. If that’s true, and if that’s you, you will be caught
eventually and expelled from this organization. We depend our members’ integrity and
honesty and if you have none then we don’t want you. Of course, if you’re that person
you’re probably not reading this anyway. Those who ruin good things for everybody else
need to be culled. So be forewarned: you will be caught and dealt with. We have far too
many good members who will report what they see and hear. And who recognize a good
thing when they see it and want to preserve it, not exploit it for their own selfish good.
BTW, the night fishing outing was fun! Thanks, Dave.

SHOTGUN RAFFLE
Lake County Fish and Game will raffle a Benelli Supernova Pump Shotgun in 12 ga. at
our club’s family picnic September 26, 2009.  Features of this fine shotgun include: 3 1/2”
chamber (It will accept 2 3/4”, 3” and 3 1/2”shells) composite camo stock and choke tubes.
These tickets are available now and cost $1 each or 6 for $5. Come to any meeting or
event to purchase yours. Or contact Don Jones for an allotment of tickets to sell to family,
friends and coworkers.

LCF&G FAMILY PICNIC
Mark September 26, 2009 on your calendar. That is the date of this year’s Family Club
Picnic. There will be food to eat, drinks to drink, horseshoes to pitch, bean bags to toss,
kids’ casting contest to contest and fun and camaraderie for all.
You may bring a dish to share if you’d like. That’s not a requirement, just more or less a
tradition. Each year we are blessed with a veritable plethora of appetizing appetizers,
sumptuous salads and delicious desserts to enhance our picnic fare.
We’ll provide the meat, drinks, tableware (plates, forks, knives, spoons, napkins and
glasses) and fun. You provide you, maybe a chair, or maybe a fishing pole, or maybe both.
The hours are from noon ‘til 5 PM. The Lake County Fish and Game family picnic is open
to all members and their immediate family. Come out and enjoy the day with fellow
LCF&G members. Who knows? Maybe you’ll make some new friends or see some old
ones.

We have been having a problem with people sneaking onto the club property and
stealing fish.  DNR will now be giving tickets to anyone on the property who is not a
member and anyone taking fish from the property.  "Without consent" is the charge,
it is a $153.00 ticket.  LCF&G is now on file with the local CO's, they know how to
identify a member so be prepared to ID yourself as a member.  If you see someone
who is keeping fish or see anyone who is not a member please call the DNR tip line.
800-TIP-IDNR ( 800-847-4367 )  You don't have to give your name but let them know.
They may not be able to come right out but sooner or later they will get them.
We paid for those fish and the theft has to stop.

Emergency numbers will be posted near the front gate.

    Thanks for your help
