June 6 - Night Fishing Outing at the Club June 9 - Lakes Committee Meeting June 14 - Flag Day June 21 - Father’s Day June 16 - Board of Directors Meeting July 11-12 - Gun show, Lake Co fair grounds |
| Capt. Ralph Steiger will be our guest speaker this month. He will be discussing NIGHT FISHING OUTING PLANNED The Lakes Committee has announced plans for another night fishing outing to take place June 6, 2009. There will be hot dogs to grill and a bonfire to enjoy. Friends, fun, fishing and food. Who could ask for more? Be sure to bring your chair, lantern and bug spray. The timing of this outing is such that the bugs may not be out yet and therefore not a problem. I’d bring some bug spray just in case, though. Speaking of night fishing. There will be a vote taken at this month’s meeting to determine the future of night fishing at the club. That privilege was suspended after poaching incidents reduced our stocked fish. The hope is that the mere presence of honest, rule abiding members will deter dishonest, rule breaking members, and nonmembers alike, from poaching our fish. If you care about this issue be sure to attend June’s meeting. And then come out June 6th to enjoy all Lake County Fish and Game has to offer after dark! SPORTING CLAYS SHOOT PLANNED Connie and Don have planned a Sporting Clays Shoot for August 1, 2009. Details are still being worked out regarding this shoot. Look here next month, or online at www.lakecountyfishandgame.org, for more details. We’ll pass them along as they become available. SHOTGUN RAFFLE Lake County Fish and Game will raffle a Benelli Supernova Pump Shotgun in 12 ga. at our club’s family picnic September 26, 2009. Features of this fine shotgun include: 3 1/2” chamber (It will accept 2 3/4”, 3” and 3 1/2”shells) composite camo stock and choke tubes. These tickets are available now and cost $1 each or 6 for $5. Come to any meeting or event to purchase yours. Or contact Don Jones for an allotment of tickets to sell to family, friends and coworkers. LCF&G FAMILY PICNIC Mark September 26, 2009 on your calendar. That is the date of this year’s Family Club Picnic. There will be food to eat, drinks to drink, horseshoes to pitch, bean bags to toss, kids’ casting contest to contest and fun and camaraderie for all. You may bring a dish to share if you’d like. That’s not a requirement, just more or less a tradition. Each year we are blessed with a veritable plethora of appetizing appetizers, sumptuous salads and delicious desserts to enhance our picnic fare. We’ll provide the meat, drinks, tableware (plates, forks, knives, spoons, napkins and glasses) and fun. You provide you, maybe a chair, or maybe a fishing pole, or maybe both. The hours are from noon ‘til 5 PM. The Lake County Fish and Game family picnic is open to all members and their immediate family. Come out and enjoy the day with fellow LCF&G members. Who knows? Maybe you’ll make some new friends or see some old ones. LCF&G PROPERTY RULES FISHING IS A GREAT BENEFIT OF MEMBERSHIP IN LAKE COUNTY FISH AND GAME.
