Tickets are available now and cost $1 for 1 or $5 for 6. The drawing will take place at next
year’s wild game dinner on March 19, 2011. Come to any meeting, or event, to buy your
tickets or to collect some to sell to family, friends and/or coworkers.

NEW HUNTING SEASON
A new hunting season is in full swing with duck season open and pheasant and firearm deer
seasons opening this month. You’ll notice a lottery system ($10 per chance) to hunt
waterfowl on our property for three days in November (see LCF&G PROPERTY
WATERFOWL HUNTS).

LCF&G PROPERTY WATERFOWL HUNTS
The grounds will be closed on the following dates in order to present members with an
opportunity to hunt waterfowl.
November 6
November 27
December 4
Participants will be decided by a $10 a chance lottery.  There will be 3 members drawn for
each of the 3 days. Each of those members will be allowed to bring 1 member guest. The
drawing will take place at our Nov. meeting (Nov. 3).
These are monitored, but not guided hunts. You’ll need to provide your own stuff (decoys,
boat, stool, dog etc.). All State and Federal regulations (license, stamps, life jackets,
throwable, etc) will be in effect. There will be no hunting from a boat.

CLUB ELECTIONS 2011
Elections for club officers and board of directors will be held at next month’s meeting
(December 1st).
Gary Piskula is the election committee chair this year. See him to put your name on the
ballot for either a specific office or as a member of the board of directors.
We’re always looking for some “new blood” and ideas. If you think you’d like to contribute,
and can spare one evening a month, then contact Gary and “throw your hat in the ring.  
Remember: if you’re feeling froggy...just leap!!

2011 MEMBERSHIPS NOW DUE
Memberships for calendar year 2011 are coming due. Remember to keep your membership
current in order to avoid paying another $25 to renew your keycard. In other words, renew
your membership before the end of the year and your
keycard won’t cost you again.
Some of you have already renewed (and we thank you). You will see an asterisk (*) after
your name on the mailing label. If you have renewed and don’t see the asterisk, call the
membership chairman at (219) 663-3209 and we’ll correct the situation. Don’t try to scam
him…he’s smarter than he looks!

2011 WILD GAME DINNER
Mark your calendars for March 19, 2011! That’s the date of the 31st Annual Walt Millikan
Memorial Wild Game Dinner. Tickets ($40 each) will be available soon.
We’re always looking for donations to either tip, give as door prizes or use in a raffle or
auction. Anything you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Letters of introduction, for the
purpose of soliciting donations from those businesses you patronize, will be made available
at this month’s meeting.

We’re also always looking for donations for the hors d’ouevres table. If you have a favorite
game recipe we’d be glad to “put it to the test”. Don’t feel special, though, ‘cause those
guys will eat anything!! And it doesn’t have to feed the whole gang...
when it’s gone it’s gone!

NEW CANADA FISHING PARTNER SOUGHT
Frank Dobogai is a relatively new member (a retired gentleman) who’s fished in Canada for
many years. For health reasons his longtime fishing partner is no longer able to make the
trip. For that reason he is seeking a courteous partner of any skill set. If you’re that person

    We have been having a problem with people sneaking onto the club property and
    stealing fish.  DNR will now be giving tickets to anyone on the property who is not a
    member and anyone taking fish from the property.  "Without consent" is the charge,
    it is a $153.00 ticket.  LCF&G is now on file with the local CO's, they know how to
    identify a member so be prepared to ID yourself as a member.  If you see someone
    who is keeping fish or see anyone who is not a member please call the DNR tip line.  
    800-TIP-IDNR ( 800-847-4367 )  You don't have to give your name but let them know.  
    They may not be able to come right out but sooner or later they will get them.  
    We paid for those fish and the theft has to stop.
