SEPTEMBER GUEST SPEAKER
Mr. Bruce Caruso, Perch America’s Wolf Lake Walleye Stocking
Project Manager, will be our guest speaker this month. He’ll be
discussing Perch America’s role in stocking Wolf Lake.

CLUB PICNIC
Plan now to attend LCF&G’s annual club picnic on Sat., Sept. 20th.
It’s free and open to all members and their immediate family.
There will be horse shoes to pitch, bean bags to toss and a casting
contest for the kids.  Lake County Fish & Game will provide all the
essentials including chicken, brats, hot dogs, corn on the cob,
drinks and tableware. You bring you and maybe a chair.
You also are encouraged to bring a dish to share. This is not required,
but each year we are blessed with a veritable plethora
of sumptuous salads and delicious desserts.
Come enjoy the day with fellow members and their families.

NORTH LAKE FISHING
I wasn’t in attendance because of scheduling conflicts, but I
understand the back lake fishing was phenomenal! Great fun had by
all who participated and lots of nice fish caught (and released).
We at Lake County Fish and Game are so proud, and pleased, with
what we have. Very few individuals take that pride to the next level
by working to make it better. Believe me when I tell you that the
grounds don’t get groomed so you can get around our property by
themselves, or by accident. That takes a lot of work on the part of,
as I said, very few individuals. If you have complaints, don’t make
anonymous phone calls. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! The Lakes
Committee meets monthly the first Tuesday after the general
membership meeting. This month it’s the 9th at 7:30 PM.
Get involved, make a difference. Don’t simply complain about how
things are done. Work to better them or shut up!

SPORTING CLAYS BENEFIT SHOOT
Recently, JR Westfall, one of our own, was killed in a tragic auto
accident. Close friends of his are organizing a  sporting clays
shoot/hog roast to benefit his family.
The shoot will be held September 21st at Oakwood Gun Club
beginning at 9:00 AM.
There will be door prizes, fun shoots, plenty to eat and drink.
The organizers say, “you don’t have to shoot to help.”
For more information on how to participate or donate go to
www.lakecountyfishandgame.com and scroll down to the bottom
of the home page. You’ll find an announcement there.
Come out and celebrate JR’s life the way he would have liked...by
shooting shotguns and busting a lot of clays!

NIGHT FISHING OUTING
The Lakes Committee is planning another night fishing outing for
October 4th from 6:00 PM ‘til 10:00 PMish.
There will be hot dogs on the grill, a bonfire and beverages will be
available.  Come out and enjoy some of the fine fishing afforded
you as a member of Lake County Fish and Game. Have a dog and
maybe make a new friend, or two.

NEW SECRETARY
Due to new job requirements Secretary, Mike Petraitis, has been
unable to attend any meetings lately. Jann Bouwman has been
appointed by President Jones to fill out the remainder of his term. The
Board of Directors, at their August meeting, ratified and approved this
appointment.   We wish Jann well in her new position. We’re sure
she’ll do a fine job.   When you see her, wish her well and thank her for
volunteering her time for the betterment of LCF&G!
